We all know people like this, they don't like clutter, they say they don't need anything as gifts, they have everything they need, they rather enjoy there gift then have it sit on a shelf. Yes, these are our practical people. These people enjoy things they can use, not things that will cause clutter and collect dust.

So here are my suggestions for gift's for all the practical people in your life!

{one}
Tickets

Tickets are always a good idea, it allows the receiver to decide their own usage. Movie tickets are getting more and more expensive each year, so this isn't such a bad idea. Or you can get them play tickets, concert tickets, or tickets for any other events.

{two}
Subscription boxes

Subscription boxes have definitely grown in popularity these past few years. These boxes allow subscribers to try many new and different things, without having to pay the price of a full sized object. There are now subscription boxes for everything; makeup, food, sports, shaving! I'm personally a fan of graze, a food subscription box I get every month.

{three}
Food baskets

Similar to subscription boxes, food baskets allow the receiver to try many different types of food, all for the fraction of the price. This gift is the ultimate present for a practical person because not only can they eat all of the present, but they are left with a basket that they can put to use later to store blankets, fruits, or other items.

{four}
Class Tuition

As a college student, the first thing I think of when someone says class tuition means less work for me to pay off my debt! But not everyone is a college student. However, that doesn't mean you still can't enjoy class! There are many different classes out there you could pay for someone to join for the holidays; cooking class, bartending school, yoga class, pottery class.

{five}
Cleaning supplies/ services

Not everyone enjoys cleaning, so why not gift them something to make their life easier. There are so many different cleaning services out there or even there are some new cleaning supplies that have been on the market. With new organic supplies out there, or new cleaning tools like Swiffer, giving cleaning as a gift doesn't have to be boring.

These are just a few ideas of gifts for practical people! Leave a comment down below if you have any ideas that I missed, so others can benefit from your ideas too! Good luck shopping everyone!

I know you guys are probably getting tired of me saying that these past couple weeks were rough and time consuming for me... but here are a few pictures to show you all what I was up to!

Wine and Cheese Night
Wine and Cheese Night
After finishing our exams, a few STEM friends and I decided to celebrate by having our own "wine-STEM" night a.k.a. wine and cheese night. It was a good relaxing night with friends, food, and lots of sangria.

Winter Ball

Winter Ball is an annual event at our school, it's very similar to winter formal - although I've heard that's for greek life.. and we don't have greek at our school. Feel free to correct me on this!

But my friends and I dressed up for the weekend and got ready for a fun night of dancing and drinking at our school's event. Before hand there was as usual, a lot of prep; hair, makeup, clothes. But this year was also fun because my friends and I decided to make our own pizzas too. So we spent some time making dough, pizza sauce, and even our own cheese! The only thing we didn't make ourselves was the pepperoni and the bell peppers we bought.

Turkey Trot

Thanksgiving morning meant it was finally time for my 8K race... and I'm glad to say that we finished it! Dylan and I woke up early on Thanksgiving and headed downtown to run the 5K/ 8K with a bajillion other runners. We were pretty lucky in that the weather was upper 50's and that it only started to rain after we ran. Needless to say, I'm proud that I managed to run an 8K in 54:49.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving at my house is always a little different - yes we do turkey, mashed potatoes, and the whole shibang. BUT my family likes to do sushi for lunch, so I spent the rest of my morning with my brother rolling and making tons of maki sushi.

After dinner though, we all stumbled onto the couch in our food induced comas for obligatory family pictures and such. My family was joined by my cousin, my aunt, my grandparents, and both mine and my brother's significant others. We managed to cram in all the kids and parents and finally get our picture, so that everyone could go on playing video games, watching football, and all other things.

With Christmas coming - there seem to be advent calendars everywhere! While it's always fun to have one, there's such difficulty in deciding which advent calendar to get! So I've tried my best to compile a list of some of the more interesting calendars that I've seen this year.

I will try to update this during the whole month, so bookmark this and keep checking back!

Sedlec Ossuary
The second week of CIEE came with lots of different trips! The first trip was to the Sedlec Ossuary, a bone church found in Kutna Hora, Czech Republic. It was a very interesting trip - a mix of creepy and interesting all in one. It was really neat to see the church though, the whole place is covered in bones of fallen soldiers. They were placed in interesting and strange designs. I found it a little interesting how people would take so many pictures and selfies with these bones, sometimes in almost disrespectful ways. People were even throwing coins and other things through the gates at the bones.

Terezin was another place we visited that week. It was about an hour bus ride outside of Prague. Visiting Pamatnik Terezin was a really humbling and eye opening day. For those of you who aren't familiar with it, Terezin the town housing a former Nazi concentration camp. Sadly - we weren't allowed to take any pictures within the camp. However, I can tell you that this town greeted you with a large cemetery when the bus pulled up. Then we were able to tour everything from a ghetto museum, to barracks, and a crematorium.

New Town, Prague, Czech Republic
And with those stories I leave you with a picture of some street performers in New Town. These guys were there every weekend, and they even let me make some bubbles once too!

Hey guys! Sorry I've been missing for awhile - there was a whirlwind of exams, holidays, and I came down with a fever for a bit.

Anyways, I plan to spoil all of you this month because I will be attempting blogmas this year! What this means is I will be attempting to post everyday until Christmas! This will be a long and hard feat - and be warned there may be some half hearted posts as my final exams come closer, but I will do my best!

So stay tuned every day this month for a variety of different posts!
