Sedlec Ossuary
The second week of CIEE came with lots of different trips! The first trip was to the Sedlec Ossuary, a bone church found in Kutna Hora, Czech Republic. It was a very interesting trip - a mix of creepy and interesting all in one. It was really neat to see the church though, the whole place is covered in bones of fallen soldiers. They were placed in interesting and strange designs. I found it a little interesting how people would take so many pictures and selfies with these bones, sometimes in almost disrespectful ways. People were even throwing coins and other things through the gates at the bones.

Terezin was another place we visited that week. It was about an hour bus ride outside of Prague. Visiting Pamatnik Terezin was a really humbling and eye opening day. For those of you who aren't familiar with it, Terezin the town housing a former Nazi concentration camp. Sadly - we weren't allowed to take any pictures within the camp. However, I can tell you that this town greeted you with a large cemetery when the bus pulled up. Then we were able to tour everything from a ghetto museum, to barracks, and a crematorium.

New Town, Prague, Czech Republic
And with those stories I leave you with a picture of some street performers in New Town. These guys were there every weekend, and they even let me make some bubbles once too!
